NO ONE WROTE
MOST OF WHAT
YOU SAW TODAY
Half the web isn't human anymore. Half the web isn't human anymore. Something to walk through rather than read.
Around 2016, the story goes, the internet quietly died — organic human activity was displaced by bots, generated content, and manufactured engagement. You weren't talking to people anymore. You were talking to the machine's idea of people.
Conspiracy theory. Easy to dismiss — the internet was obviously full of humans. It was named and mostly laughed at when it went mainstream in 2021.
The specific claims were wrong. The direction was right. Every year, the numbers agree with it a little more. This site exists so you can meet that internet with your eyes open.
Forum posters start claiming "everyone here is a bot." A joke, mostly.
The theory gets a name and goes mainstream — filed under conspiracy.
Generative models make content cheaper than the attention it consumes.
Verification becomes a product you buy, not a fact about you.
Bad-bot traffic hits record share; synthetic media becomes indistinguishable at a glance.
The joke stopped being funny. Learning to look became a survival skill.

You prove you're human to machines several times a week — and they decide whether to believe you.
Accounts of the dead keep getting birthday wishes — some from other accounts of the dead.
Products carry thousands of five-star reviews written by no one.
Entirely virtual "artists" and "influencers" now hold audiences — and brand deals — bigger than most working humans.
Whole "news" sites publish hourly with zero human staff — and get indexed, ranked, and read.
That comment that made you angry may have been A/B tested on people like you before it reached you.
recognize three or more? you already live there. → TAKE THE GAUNTLET
I make AI content for a living. I watched the flood rise from inside the machine — how fast it got good, how cheap it got, how little of what you scroll past was ever touched by a hand. The internet you remember is already gone.
This terminal is what I built instead of looking away. Everything synthetic here is labeled — every exhibit, every specimen. If any of it fooled you, that's not your failure. That's the demonstration.
